Some spaces ask you simply to fill them. Others ask you to understand them — to find the story already living within the walls, and to tell it beautifully. For Crystal International Group, a global leader in apparel manufacturing founded in Hong Kong in 1970, the brief was exactly that: an art programme that would honour the company’s identity, its craft, and the people who bring it to life every day.

I worked across multiple areas of the headquarters, commissioning and installing a cohesive body of work in close dialogue with each space. Artist LOUSY brought his signature energy to the staff rest area — a site-specific mural threaded with scissors, needles, and the fine details of the trade. In the open offices, Michell Lie’s four modern ink and watercolour works — abstract shan shui landscapes lifted by sun, water, and mountain — offer a moment of expansive calm. In the pantry, a wall installation of 3D-printed components from a dismantled sewing machine creates a quiet monument to craft; nearby, rope balls in warm tonal gradients evoke the material language of the textile world. Ceramic lotus leaves and swimming fish, sourced and recoloured by hand, complete the space with a gentle, decorative note.

Every element was proposed, commissioned, produced, and installed as part of a single, considered whole. A collection that says who this company is — without needing to explain itself. For corporations with a story worth telling, I know how to find it, and how to show it.
