Townplace West Kowloon
Client Sun Hung Kai Properties · Year 2024 · Category Hospitality

When Sun Hung Kai Properties set out to define Townplace West Kowloon — an aparthotel conceived for young professionals and global travellers — they needed an art direction that was unmistakably Hong Kong: vibrant, considered, and alive with the city’s creative spirit.

From initial proposal to final installation, the full art consultancy scope was managed across the property. The curation drew from Hong Kong artists whose work embodied the energy, identity, and warmth the project called for—original paintings on canvas, digital artworks realized on large-format wallpaper, lightboxes, and prints were commissioned and integrated throughout. Coordination with mural artists, contractor briefings on lightbox specifications, framing and delivery logistics, and advisory on decorative accessories ensured seamless execution across all phases.

The collection spans more than 800 guest rooms, the lobby, co-working space, bar area, communal kitchen, gym, and guest floor lobbies — each space thoughtfully considered, each artwork chosen to belong to it. For property developers and hospitality groups who believe that a great space is one that tells a story worth returning to, I offer the expertise to compose that story from the first brushstroke to the final installation.
