At night, the stumps on the retaining wall look different—softer, almost glowing under the city's light. I worked that night version by hand, guiding cyan, magenta, yellow, and black ink across plastic-coated paper with a ruler and cotton buds, to hold onto how the same scene can feel completely changed once the sun goes down.
